The Rockbox Theater in Fredericksburg, Texas is proud to present a very special concert, featuring the one of a kind sounds of two great singer/songwriter musicians, Walt Wilkins & Josh Grider, Texas Americana Sensations! Accompanying these two talented musicians will be the angelic sounds of their wives, Tina Wilkins & Kristin Grider. This is another in our Original Artist Series that is new to the Rockbox Theater, where we turn our great theater into an intimate listening room. These are original artists, telling stories and singing their own great music! We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Walt Wilkins is a songwriter, singer, traveler, troubadour - the calling he answered, the life he chose, and the way he makes his way in life. Walt chose to go full time on this road 25 years ago. Its been a spiritual quest, an amazing trip, at turns heartbreaking & transcendent. In that time he's made 9 solo records, 4 records with The Mighty Mystiqueros, 1 with his wife Tina, and there's a new live record with his friend Kevin Welch. He's had 100 or more songs recorded by other artists, traveled a fair part of the world, and had some very, very large times. We welcome Walt to the Rockbox Theater!
Josh Grider is “A poet of optimism and maturity” (Lonestar Music magazine), Grider has fully embraced his status as a musical Swiss Army Knife, expanding his reach deeper into collaboration — as evidenced by his new project with longtime friend Drew Kennedy, Topo Chico Cowboys, Vol. 1. His songwriting prowess is in high demand as he traverses Music Row writing rooms to return to the creative well and deliver “just what country music fans need right now” (Taste of Country). Look no further than 2020’s “Country’s Comin’ Back” for proof. We are proud to welcome Josh to the Rockbox Theater!
We are limiting seating for this show to allow plenty of space for guests to distance, and seating is limited to groups of no more than 10 guests. Doors open 1 hour before the show and cocktails will be available throughout the show.
