Live Concert Texas Country Industrial Red Dirt |
Rockbox Theater in Fredericksburg, Texas is proud to present the exciting energy and great country sound of Kin Faux, a popular Texas Country Red Dirt Band! The Kin Faux live experience is a high energy, fiddle blazin’ show that will leave you wanting more. While they do pay tribute to country legends like Haggard, Jennings, and Cash, the heavy influence of the band comes from today's Texas music scene (i.e. Randy Rogers, Kevin Fowler, Cody Jinks, Wade Bowen and Turnpike Troubadours). What you will experience at a Kin Faux show is a solid rhythm section providing a foundation for blistering guitar and fiddle solos. So, put on your wranglers and two-stepping' boots, then come see what the buzz is all about!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Mario Flores of The Soda Creek Band & legendary Singer/Songwriter Bernie Nelson will be adding their texas-sized talent to the stage during what promises to be a great big night of Funtastic Music at the Rockbox, so be sure to come prepared - for more than you bargained for!
We are limiting seating for this show to allow plenty of space for guests to distance, and seating is limited to groups of no more than 10 guests. Doors open at 7pm and cocktails will be available throughout the show. Book early as tickets will go fast.
ABOUT KIN FAUX
Sparked from a vision of wanting to play the music they enjoyed and loved, Kin Faux started full time in January 2018. Fiddle player and front man Rico Gonzalez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He joined the family mariachi band as a young child and then later grew up to major in Violin Performance and travel the world with the San Antonio Symphony. After discovering the beauty and authenticity of true country music, he turned his violin into a fiddle, and began the journey down the Texas Country Red Dirt Road. He then met drummer Dan Currier, who had similar interests in a music career, and the band Kin Faux began to form. They met and welcomed established guitarist, Jason Helton, to the Kin Faux family who happened to know a seasoned bass player named, Ross Barkey, whom just completed a tour with Whitey Morgan and the rest was history. The band got their first break playing at a small pub in Eastern Michigan called Billy’s Pine Run Inn, and not much later had their first Texas Tour lined up. That first year, Kin Faux was on a fast track winning, “Best Country Band of the Year” and Rico Gonzalez winning, “Best Country Musician of the Year”, of the Tri-State area in The Review Magazine’s yearly music awards, along with recording their first EP and having the honor of selling out their very first Luckenbach, Texas show with Kevin Fowler.
