At age 15, Johnnie "Red" Latham was inspired by B.B. King and Eric Clapton to start playing guitar on April 1st, 1967. Today, still performing and entertaining with the same passion and energy as when he started, Johnnie enjoys a loyal following that spans three decades. Over the years, Johnnie and his band has played with Tina Turner, Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, John Mayhall, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Delbert McClinton, and Bo Diddly.
As our featured Guest Artist, Johnnie brings his ax and extraordinary blues repertoire to the Rockbox, June 4-6. He'll perform several songs throughout the show, including great blues standards like Got My Mojo Workin', along with originals from one of Texas' premier bluesmen, Johnnie Red.
Johnnie will also have his CD's on sale, including his gospel blues album, Show Us The Way.
